VZ Depotbank expands its digital offer with DSwiss

With its "VZ Finance Portal," VZ Depotbank boasts one of the most innovative all-in-one solutions for payment transactions via e-banking, insurance management, and the secure storage of wills. VZ Safe

In the VZ Finance Portal, customers can manage and monitor all their finances, investments, mortgages, insurance policies, and pension assets. They also have access to "VZ Safe," a digital safe deposit box. VZ Safe can be used for storing wills, prenuptial agreements, tax documents, sales agreements, receipts, passwords, and private pictures. All data is encrypted and stored on servers in Switzerland in accordance with the strictest banking standards. Thanks to single sign-on authentication, customers can switch from the VZ Finance Portal to VZ Safe at any time and from anywhere, and thereby access their documents on their computer, tablet, or smartphone.

A step towards greater digitization

VZ Safe is an important step for the customer interface – in other words, where savers and investors interact with VZ Depotbank. In particular, contact and communication have become faster and more practical. Moreover, the environment is spared as everything is paperless. In the next phase of the project, VZ advisors will also be able to exchange documents via VZ Safe. As a result, even complex banking transactions will be processed more efficiently and in accordance with the highest security standards.

The 3 main features of VZ Safe

1. Password manager for logins

Being able to manage all passwords from one central location is extremely convenient. In addition to the secure storage of login information, the VZ Safe password manager also comes with a password generator and a password checker that alerts customers when passwords are weak or reused.

2. File manager for storing and managing documents

VZ Safe also contains a file manager in which important documents such as contracts, insurance documents, and other documents are subject to multiple levels of security. For enhanced usability, the Smart Find feature - a powerful search function designed to enable VZ customers to easily search through encrypted documents - will be available soon. Each document is analyzed on the basis of names, places, organizations, and other relevant terms in the search index. This makes the search for content easier, more complete, more accurate, and more efficient.

3. Digital mailbox for the delivery of bank documents

VZ Safe also comes with a digital mailbox that receives bank documents (e.g., account statements and quarterly reports) electronically and in an environmentally friendly manner. Unlike with e-banking, the documents in VZ Safe are no longer controlled by the bank. This allows for documents to be stored for an indefinite period of time, in accordance with a ruling by the European Court of Justice.
