Alexander Sommer becomes new CEO of DSwiss AG

With the appointment of Alexander Sommer on 1 September 2023, DSwiss AG is ushering in the next phase of growth for the IT company.

As part of its growth strategy, DSwiss AG has further strengthened its management team. Alexander Sommer (41) is a technology expert with almost two decades of experience in successfully scaling as-a-service companies. ‘We are delighted to have Alexander Sommer join the company as our new CEO, complementing our newly formed leadership team of long-standing DSwiss employees for the next phase of the company's evolution,’ says Chairman Hans Oury. Burkhart Böttcher (CEO a.i. / CFO) will once again focus entirely on his role as CFO in future.

SaaS expert with many years of experience

‘With his international experience, broad expertise and clear philosophy on how to set up successful software-as-a-service companies, Alexander Sommer is predestined to successfully develop DSwiss further,’ Hans Oury continues. Before joining DSwiss, Alexander Sommer was CFO and COO at the travel booking platform Nezasa. He also held various strategic positions at the technology group Rackspace, where he successfully helped shape the company's rapid global expansion over a decade. ‘I am very much looking forward to working with our highly committed team to further develop our SaaS portfolio and organisation, thereby ensuring the long-term success of our existing and future customers with market-leading solutions,’ said the new CEO.

Focus on further developing the product range

DSwiss specialises in highly secure cloud solutions that protect sensitive information from over 10 million end users.
