With Alexander Sommer taking over as CEO of DSwiss AG on September 1, 2023, the IT company is initiating the next phase in its development.
As part of its growth strategy, DSwiss AG has succeeded in further strengthening its management team. Alexander Sommer (41) is a technology expert with almost two decades of experience in the successful scaling of as-a-service companies. "We are very pleased to welcome Alexander Sommer as our new CEO, who will join our newly established leadership team of long-time DSwiss employees for the company’s next evolutionary phase," stated Chairman Hans Oury. Moving forward, Burkhart Böttcher (CEO a.i. / CFO) will resume his role as CFO again, while Tobias Christen, co-founder and former CEO, will continue to serve on the company’s Board of Directors.
"With his international experience, broad expertise and clear philosophy on how to set up successful software-as-a-service companies, Alexander Sommer is the best person to lead the way in DSwiss’s continued development," Hans Oury continued. Prior to DSwiss, Alexander Sommer was CFO and COO at Nezasa, the travel booking platform. He has held a number of critical positions at the technology firm Rackspace, where he helped shape the company's rapid global scaling for over a decade. "I am very excited to work with our extremely dedicated team to further drive the development of our SaaS portfolio and organisation, ensuring our existing and future clients’ long-term success with market-leading solutions," stated the incoming CEO.
