Zühlke and AVANTEC invest in the data safe expert DSwiss

ZURICH, 8 Feburary 2011 - Zühlke Ventures Ltd and AVANTEC AG have jointly acquired a majority stake in DSwiss AG, the Swiss market leader in Internet data safes. The Internet data safes protect valuable digital data, provide long-term high security and are cost-effective - the are the bank vault of the 21st century! With this new alliance, DSwiss aim to maintain their market leadership in Switzerland as well as expand into selected international markets.

To implement these objectives, current Head of Business Development at DSwiss, Christian Schwarzer, has been appointed to the newly created position of CEO with immediate effect. “We are delighted that our success to date has attracted investment from these two well-respected Swiss companies. In my new role as CEO I look forward to growing the business further and capitalizing on opportunities for both our B2B and B2C operations,” commented Christian Schwarzer.
Since 2009 DSwiss has achieved worldwide success with DataInherit, the consumer data safe and password safe service (www.datainherit.com). More than 30,000 customers in over 100 countries are already using the highly secure, yet easy-to-use Internet safe. In 2010 DSwiss launched their data safe as a value-added service for banks. Various Swiss private and retail banks will this year offer their customers an Internet data safe for the long-term storage of personal documents as an extension of their existing online banking account. The DSwiss Internet data safes provide confidential, worldwide electronic delivery of bank documents eg, customers can have their account statements automatically delivered into their data safe as a pdf file.
